Frequently Asked Questions
Get answers to common questions about Half Back.
Most Half Back waxing appointments take about twenty to thirty minutes from start to finish, depending on hair density and whether the upper or lower half is treated. Consultation and aftercare are included.
Some discomfort is normal during Half Back waxing, but pain is brief. Our technicians use quick, efficient technique, calming products, and breathing tips. Numbing cream is available by request for very sensitive clients.
Ideally hair should be about a quarter inch (approximately four to six millimeters) long for an effective Half Back wax. Too-short hair won't grip; overly long hair can be trimmed to reduce discomfort.
If you have sensitive skin or acne, we recommend a consultation and a small patch test before a Half Back wax. We can use gentle waxes, modify technique, and advise on suitable aftercare to avoid irritation.
Exfoliate gently forty-eight hours before your Half Back appointment, avoid sun exposure and strong topical retinoids for several days, arrive with clean dry skin, and avoid heavy lotions on the day of waxing.
Most clients schedule Half Back waxing every four to six weeks, depending on individual hair growth. Regular waxing weakens follicles over time, often extending intervals between visits and producing finer regrowth.
